Because there is a large segment of people who make money from peddling scammy products or services, there is a ton of parroted nonsense, quackery and flim flam foisted on all of us daily. I have so many friends that buy into various forms of it without thinking about it.
I hope this page is a handy little resource for debunking and keeping links to good critical thought and skeptic information, to help anyone who needs it sort out facts from fiction.
One tip I read somewhere that I always keep in mind now is you should never feel bad for pooping on a psuedoscience party. If you know something is bullshit and a gaggle of people are fawning over it, speak up. Even if they reject your debate and facts, you at least make people aware there is a challenge to the bullshit and you might sow a seed of healthy critical thought that blooms days, months, or years later.
